A bill requiring employers to screen staff using a federal background check system was voted down by Idaho lawmakers Monday,” the Associated Press reported. While the goal of the bill was to decrease the number of illegal immigrants in the disorder, the Senate Disorder Affairs Committee expressed concern it would add extra burdens to business owners and defeated the measure 7-2.
