Proposed Credit Report Law in Oregon Would Limit Employment Screening Background Checks
Oregon may be following Hawaii and Washington as states placing limits on the use of credit reports for employment purposes when the Oregon legislature passed a bill and sent it to the governor. The proponents of the bill believe that credit reports are not related to the ability to perform the job, and can be inaccurate and discriminatory.
